Impact and reports

We believe in being open about what we do, how much it costs and the difference it makes.

This page brings together our key statistics, annual data and downloadable reports.

The value we provide

Every hour our volunteers spend on a search is an hour that the police do not have to resource from their own overstretched teams.

The cumulative value of the time we have donated to West Mercia Police since 2013 exceeds £270,000. That is money the police can redirect to other areas of community safety.

But the true value of what we do cannot be measured in pounds. It is measured in the families who got their loved one back. In the communities that stayed safe during a flood. In the 50,000 people who now know how to help someone in the water.

In the person who is alive today because someone in a red jacket found them in the dark.
